Oddly nothing comes to mind! I have so many Christmas memories, none of them really stand out to be a favorite. I remember my dad taking us to see lights...I remember the Christmas my sister and I got close to the same things as my friend across the street (Skates, and an orang scooter)...I remember every year I used to get an art set. A big pad of paper, and a set of crayons/markers/paints...I remember when I got a ghetto Ice cream maker..
I guess every Christmas is special to me. I mean.... How can it not be?

We have some traditions here in our little house..
We ALWAYS try to take trips to have Christmas fun... I enjoy it most. Joe goes because I make him.
There's putting up the tree.. I miss having a pretty pine smelling tree, but our vintage tree is pretty cool if I may say so.
I make time EVERY year to bake my Christmas sour cream cookies. I try to make them, and settle down with some old school christmas shows while I decorate. :) Fun times.
Mainly our tradition is visiting Joe's family on Christmas Eve. We have some drinks, have some snacks, and mingle. Then its back home to go to sleep, and wait for santa...
Well, of course the puppies do too..
After presents we have breakfast with family, and spend the rest of the day relaxing. :)
Growing up with a mother who LOVES christmas (maybe more than me) I was "forced" to watch all kinds of old movies at christmas. Even though I still love the other movies, and I could possible name EVERY Jules Bass movie in existnance, White Christmas STILL takes the award for my favorite Christmas movie, and probably favorite movie of all.
I mean.. Look at this. How can you compete. pretty ladies, awesome clothes, music, dancing, singing...
If you havent seen this movie. you should very much so watch it.
All I want for Christmas is you , by Vince Vance & the Valiants. I don't know WHY I love this song. I just do. I have never heard it sung by any one else. and that is a lot to say for a Christmas song.
I also like the Song 'Where are you Christmas' from the Grinch. I like it more when the little girl sings it. Not as much when Faith Hill sings it. It makes me think of how much fun Christmas used to be growing up, and how just because you grow up, you have to stop believing in the fun and the magic of it. Poop to that. I still get excited when I see santa at the mall.. I guess I'm just a big kid.
Thanksgiving came and left so fast. I didn't have time to enjoy it!
I had such a busy weekend, I don't know how to recap it all.
There was Turkey Day of course... Joe had to work (at home luckily), and my sister came along with my niece. We had fun prepping dinner and playing with the dogs.
Thursday night we had our yearly friends & dessert party. Sadly there are no pictures of my cheesecake.. I even made my own caramel sauce...
Friday morning it was up early to head down to cape may. My aunts and family rent a house out for thanksgiving weekend, and i get really excited to go. Thanksgiving and Christmas were always so family oriented when I was a kid. Being a in big house with a bunch of happy eating people brings me back to that, and it makes me so happy.
It was home, and then BACK up early Saturday to head to work at the bakery. I had Eggnog lattes and yummy lunch. (that job is the best ever!) After work, it was home to rest and back out to hang out with my bakery friends again.
Sunday was finall rest day. But I did get to head into the attic and break out my Christmas stuff.
It's so exciting!! I looooove getting ready for christmas. I can't wait to share it all with you!
During our wonderful trip to Los Angeles we made a point to geek out as often as possible. Over celebs? (maybe a little) But Our true love.. Is Mid Century Modern Design.
The furniture, The houses, The restaurants.... They all had this flair of vintage style that I admire so much. I could go on forever about this. But I am going to keep this as short and sweet as possible.
The highlight of the trip was our tour of the Case Study - Stahl House. Visits are made by appointment. And the rules are moderately strict. No photos of family...No walking in the bedrooms... No sharing photos on site such as flickr, or photobucket, although you could use them on your blog,(lucky you!) as long as you gave proper credit.
I am excited to share with you all the photos Joe & I took during our hour on the property. I hope you enjoy! And I hope you get a chance to go yourself one day..
I can't explain my Bio.. You have to experience it!
