I was an extra!!! (for It's always sunny in Philly)

It all started with a tweet.

Someone had retweeted Danny DeVito's tweet saying they were in town taping for the week. This had prompted the stalker in me to try to find out where they were shooting so I can find them, and get to maybe take some pictures.

In my searches online, I ran across a couple hints as to where they were going to be, but then I found it. A casting call looking for background extras. It was the late in the week, and I really had no idea if they had already made choices, so I didnt really expect much. I sent in 3 pictures, along with my age, the note that I had never been an extra, and my number. 10 minutes later. An email asking if i was available Wednesday.

WIN!!!

I was SUPER giddy as this is 10 times better than getting to stand on the side lines and watch the fun, I was going to be PART of the fun! Plus getting to be on tv is on my list of things I have always wanted to do, so this was all kinds of happy for me.

In the luck of it all I got Joe to send pictures in, and he ALSO got picked to arrive. Double Win.

Wednesday came and we arrived. It was a 10 hour day of takes, double takes, and waiting around for a long time. But don't let those decieve you. It was also mixed in with crossing paths with the cast, and getting to mingle and say hello!

I was feeling to nerdy to ask for pictures. But did get to talk to Rob (Mac) and Kaitlyn (Sweet Dee), Danny DeVito walked by and asked me how my day was, and Joe and I got to have a 5 minute conversation with Artemis who was video taping us for some reason.

I will take this day with me forever. I was proud of myself for being so "non-stalkerish" I had never met an actual celebrity, so I didnt know how I'd react. Apparently, I reacted the same way I would if I talked to a stranger on the street (which I do with ease)

Pretty Pretty Pin up.

I got to enjoy the company of my photography friend Steve Kilmer today. He came up to help me play pin up, and it was SO FUN!

On normal accounts, I'm never over excited about a photo shoot. Especially when the clothing isn't plentiful.

But after taking a peek at his pictures, I was pretty stoked for myself.

"Spike" is working on getting these published somewhere. I'm crossing my fingers something fierce hoping that someone picks them.

I don't have that many dreams, but one of them is to be a pin up.. And I think these pictures were the closest I've gotten so far to that dream.

Catching up.. Skating party for Aprils

A number of people in our group of friends share April birthdays. And since we had so much fun at My roller rink birthday party, It was decided another party would be held on wheels. And since we can't leave well enough alone, what makes any party more enjoyable?

This ended up being a 'come as your favorite celebrity' skating party.. And boy was there an array of folks who showed up..

 

 

I didn't take too many pictures... Or actually any at all. I was too busy happily rolling around the rink singing and dancing like it was my birthday all over again..

 

 

luckily joe was the paparazzi for the evening, and got some shots of us lovely divas on the red carpet.

 

 

I highly suggest everyone having parties of this nature.. There is nothing more fun than geeking out with your friends, and acting like a kid again..

My pro nailz...okay not really.

So I saw on a coule blogs (and a few magazines) these new nail design things by Sally Hansen. And since I'm uber obsessed with Katy Perry's fun pro nails she's always showing off.. I NEEDED them. (it also helps that they're new and fun)

During my trip to CVS today I made my little stop in the nail section on my search for these little delights and I finally found them! I was overly excited to get home and get the show on the road.

With clean nails.. I started off..

I chose leopard... Hot.

 

It was a little weird doing the work. You have to pretty much stick it on and work in onto your nail. Lots of nerves, lots of filing. But amazingly no messups. I have a rough time doing my nails, so this was pretty calming. About 20 minutes later (I didnt REALLY keep track, I was too busy watching TV food network) I had funky fun leopard printed fingernails. :D

Old Skool Computer Gaming.

Back when I was a wee one, and had friends over all of the time, we would gather around the computer. We wouple sit around and play games all day long. I remember having so much fun... but as the technology got better, and the game disks got lost, I forgot about that period in time when they were the shit.

Until the present. Heather let me know she got Jepoardy for the wii. It sounded fun and I was excited to go play.

It was It was pretty fun.. But it made me instantly remember the MS DOS games I used to play when I was a kid...

So the hunt began. Luckilly I found a DOS emulator for my mac (called boxing) and then I got crazy..

I got Jeporady....

 

I got Family Feud..

 

And the great Wheel of Fortune..

 

I also founf King's Quest and Space Quest. I feel as if I was smart in a sense when I was little, because I remember doing pretty good on those games. and now I just die... a lot.

 

 

 

Visitors Day

It's a fun day :D

It's the day before my birthday, which is alwasy fun. But it's also a Friday.. AND Payday. AND Kristen came to have lunch with me today, AND THEN Joe shows up WITH flowers... Then to top it all off. Work bought lunch, and I got a cake. How can you top that? I don't think you can..

I've been working on my site latley. It's a calaboration of my pin up work, and my own pieces of art trying to be a photographer. It's taking forever.. But hopefully it'll payoff in the end.

We're going to dinner tonite, That should be fun. Jones of course, cuz its my favorite.Then we're going to steves to hang out and play wii. I think tomorrow will be fun. I'm getting my hair done in the morning. getting a Pedi, enjoying some of the day alone, then when joe gets home were going to go to Chuck-E-Cheeze, HOW sweet it that? I'll most def. have pictures. Don't you worry. :)

I actually just wanted to see if this would work... I also have had this in my head for the past week. We quoted it like a hundred times in Disney. Why? I don't know.. Disney and Jim henson don't go hand in hand. Although in MGM they have Muppets in 3D. That's probably what started us off..

Kickin' it old school

So We had an 80's themed party at work. We got to dress crazy all day and then go bowling after work.. I had a good time. I won 200 bucks!!! How? I'm an awesome bowler. I'm also crazy competitive, and don't let my team lose.. I'm kinda like Monica from friends when it comes to games in which prizes are involved. I'm going to have some pictures/video to post when we all pool them together and upload them. But for now. heres my Day 112 of 365.. 80's Nikki...

  Grant it I was only between the ages of 1-9 in this super sweet decade. So I was happy to get to dress up like a teenager did. I had to go to taco bell dressed in this way, and it was quite funny to have people stare me down waiting for an explanation. Did I give one? Hell no. Why? Because it was so fun having them think I was looking this way everyday. It was a good day.

Allthough all this 80's fun reminds me of a few things.. Kids Incorporated.. And that made me think of cheesy music, which reminded me of the episode of "How I met your mother." See below. And also note I was hopping around the office singing this song for about 2 hours after making the girls watch it with me. I love Robin Sparkles.

HOLY CRAP

So yeah.I came home from my Saturday Kristen visit and wanted to get some cleaning done before Joe got home. I usually turn on the Comcast on demand music stations and rock out whilst I clean, so I did just that. I check the 'sounds of the seasons' channel all the time to see whats going on and what crazy holiday we're in the midst of celebrating and apparently today,we're celebrating CHRISTMAS!!! Can you believe it?! I can not. Grant it - it is kinda early. but on the other hand HELLO!!! Its CHRISTMAS TIME! Its my favorite time of year. And At this moment. I'm listening to some cheesy song about bells and happiness and snow and presents. And I want to pee myself of excitement. Comcast, for the first time ever... I love you.

Well. i didn't go to Scranton. I -instead- sat inside, watched Adult Swim on demand. I finished out Home Movies,and aqua teen..started on the brak show.. Good times. :) and I made my costume. I was having trouble with the bottoms, little did I know when you sew something onto something stretchy it doesnt stretch anymore. (duh me) so I learned the trick is to sew it while its ON me. Theres something to picture.. A girl, on her couch, in fishnets and underwear, watching cartoons,sewing fringe onto herself... Yeah. Good times.

We took the dogs to petsmart to meet up with Brian and his wife - it was doggie Halloween night..  And when we got there it was a PUG party. :P So yeah we were there with our monsters and with a plethora of Pugs. BUT anyway. We had fun at the party. I think it helped that I pretty much didn't eat all day cuz i was super self conscious given I didn't have much on,And Joe made me crazy strong margaritas. We ended up playing some game called Kings. Long story short. For a drinking game no one was drinking THAT much. So when i got to make rules, I made anyone who pulled a red car drink for 5 seconds, and when someone had to drink. thy had to double it. Well i guess some people got salty because when it was this girls turn to make a rule, she decided anytime ANYONE had to drink I had to drink as well. for double the time. which means i had to drink on every turn. This = Nikki getting a little drunk.
I did get to have taco bell on the way home to fill my stomach, but as i ate it and played online when i got home the screen kinda started to get all spinny. So I had to hold off on eating my cheesy potatoes. MY FAVORITE things :c I then Had to put myself to bed. Needless to say this means I wasn't too hot this morning. i say to this..no more pounding margaritas and not eating..  no matter how delicious they really are. so to make up for it, I'm watching tv, eating ghetto pizza, doritos and cream cheese. And it feels GOOD. :) Joe is off playing poker. so I'm enjoying my alone-ly time. :)
